April 4th: Friends of Parkinson’s is hosting an open house from 11 to 4 at 3360 Hwy 160, ste 303. Everyone is invited to attend.
April 5th: The volunteer income tax assistance program will be at the library starting at 10 to help complete 2018 tax returns for residents who made less than $58,000 last year. Bring ID, social security card, all forms and last year’s tax return. Volunteers are all IRS certified.
April 5th: Our Lady of the Valley is having their fish fry from 4 to 7 in the church hall. Choose from baked or fried fish, fish tacos, with New England Clam Chowder available. Everyone is invited to attend.
April 5th & 6th: PV United Methodist Church is hosting a rummage sale Friday 8 to 1, Saturday 9 to noon. They have clothing, shoes, crafts, tools, Easter items, household items, furniture, toys and etc available.
April 6th: PVHS’s JAG class is hosting a soup kitchen from 6 to 8 at the United Methodist Church on Hwy 160. They will also have clothing for the homeless. They need donations right now of Hygiene products, socks, grocery gift cards, blankets, first aid kits and anything else. Please drop donations off at PVHS main office.
April 7th: The Moose Lodge on 2nd Street is having a donation dinner to benefit Pahrump Search & Rescue from 3 to 6. Dinner will be spaghetti with garlic bread and salad. This is open to the public and I encourage you to attend to support those who do so much for our community on a daily basis.
April 12th: Is another appointment only USDA Food Distribution at New Hope Fellowship Church on West Street from 10 to 2. Please call the church at 775-751-1867 to set your appointment. Bring your appointment slip, Nevada drivers license or ID, proof of address and your own boxes. USDA is an equal opportunity provider.
The First Southern Baptist Church needs your donations of infant to 18 year olds clothing for an upcoming drive to help foster children in our community. Items may be dropped off at the church or call 775-727-6038 for pick up.
The VFW Post 10054 Clothes Closet for our Vets is now open and accepting donations of clothes, jackets, sweats, blankets etc. Drop off items on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 to noon.
