June 24th: Pets are Worth Saving is having an Ice Cream Float Social with bake sale and pet adoptions at the Bob Rudd Community Center from noon to 4 PM. Everyone is invited to this fundraiser.

The Town of Pahrump’s Swimming Pool is open 7 days a week. 7 to 11 AM is adult swim and noon to 6 is open swim.

The Pahrump Prostate Cancer Support Group meets the fourth Thursday of every month. Everyone is invited to attend for support, education and information. Meeting start at 6 PM in the hospital training room.

Fire Chief Scott Lewis says there have been several calls concerning bee swarms. He advises to protect your pets, notify your neighbors and don’t disturb the bees. Usually if left alone they will move on.

Nevada Outreach Training is looking for volunteers to work at their office, the shelter and several other places. If interested call 751-1118.
