May 17th & 18th: Spring Mountain Art Guild is having their First Annual Outdoor Art Show from 10 to 6 both days at 601 East Street. Admission is FREE and the Lionís Club will be providing food, there will be raffles and painting demonstrations throughout the event. For more information call 537-7958.
May 20th: Desert View Hospital will be hosting their next class in their lecture series beginning at 2. This class will feature Cardiologist Frederic Siegel and will cover a variety of heart health topics. Including knowing when chest pain is a sign of a heart attack or other illness. Dr. Siegel will be available to answer questions also. All classes are FREE and the public is welcome.
Get your tickets now for the Pahrump Valley Garden Clubís 7th Annual self guided landscape tour to be held May 18th from 8 to 1. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at Star Nursery or the cooperative extension office at PV Blvd and Dandelion.
Volunteers are needed for the upcoming Fall Festival that will be held this year September 26th thru the 29th. The festival will be put together by the town staff and any 501.3C organizations that wish to help. If you or your organization would like to be involved call Jan at 751-5282.
The adoption program started by Symphony Animal Foundation for the Nye County Animal Shelter still needs businesses or individuals to sponsor one adoption a month (tax deductable). If interested call Loraine at 702-528-4997. Thank you for helping those that can not speak or help themselves.
