September 3rd: Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church's fish fry is back in the church parrish hall from 4 to 7PM. Choice of fried or baked fish dinners as well as fish tacos. Everyone is invited to attend.
September 4th: Will be a good old fashioned soc hop from 6 to 9PM at the Pahrump Nugget sponsored by Ms. Senior Nye County. They will have a soc hop dance contest, prizes, raffle, no host bar and appetizers. Get your tickets now by calling Teri at 764-0006. Couples only $25 single $15. Everyone is invited to join in the remember when.....soc hop.
September 11th: The VFW, Boy Scout Troop 651, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion is conducting a flag retirement ceremony announced by Theodore L. Ward at 3PM at the VFW on Homestead. The US flag code states "The Flag" when it is in such conditiion that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display should be destroyed in a dignigied way, preferably by burning. This ceremony will properly retire the flags. Everyone is invited to attend. For more information call 727-9125
September 14th: Will be another 3 day 2 night senior adventure to the south rim of the Grand Canyon. Only 50 seats available on the bus so sign up early by calling Don at 751-6860.
Members of the Ms. Senior Golden Years Queen's Court will provide free transportation to owners of pets needing to be spayed or neutered to the low cost SNAPS Clinic. For more information call 702-306-3245.

Pet of the Week: Is Mr. Taz, a 3 year old male brindle pit bull. Very mello guy but needs to be the only dog in the house. Likes people. Trained and needs a new home. He is waiting to meet you at Animal House. No adoption fee.
